Are you interested
in beads or beading - in any shape or form?
Then why not join
us at the South and West Wales Bead Society.
We are a new
non-profit making Society, formed in 2002, committed to the
furtherance of all types of beading, be it bead weaving, jewellery
making or the use of beads in all types of crafts and mixed media
embroidery.
Our aim is to meet
other people who have an interest in beads, to exchange knowledge
and to help one another progress. You will find that we offer a warm
welcome to anyone who wishes to join us at out meetings, both the
experienced beader and the complete beginner.
We hold monthly
meetings (in the Swansea area) and regular workshops covering
different beading techniques. Out workshops have projects to suit
all levels of expertise – if you have never picked up a bead now
is the time to start or if you are an experienced beader we will
find something to challenge you!
Out annual
membership fee is £15.00, with £2.00 per meeting being charged
towards costs. You will receive a quarterly newsletter packed with
interesting information, a free pattern and advance notice of events
to be held both locally and nationally.
Visitors
can join out meetings at costs of £2.00 per meeting, with a maximum
of two meetings per year and we would be delighted to meet
visitor’s from other beading societies. Whether you are a seasoned
craftsperson, or a budding jewellery designer, or someone who just
wants to have fun meeting other like-minded people, of all ages,
whilst learning new skills and techniques we’d love to hear from
you.
